Surya Roshni plans to set up Rs 50-cr plant

Surya Roshni, the second-largest manufacturer of lighting products in the country ,has drawn up plans to set up a new production facility for high-end energy efficient products. The new set up will involve investment of Rs 50 crore to be financed by foreign debt and apart from the domestic market ,the products will also go to meet exports in developed  countries Currently Surya out sources these products from different domestic vendors……….

“We are looking at expansion which would be finalised by 2004 and would  add close to Rs 100 crore to our turnover. The new factory will be involved in manufacturing energy efficient lamps including compact fluorescent lamps(CFL) and metal halide lamps,” informed Surya Roshni Ltd chairman and managing director BD Agarwal.
