Surya Roshni Ltd has recorded a net profit of Rs 4.52 crore for the third quarter of the financial year ended December 31st, 1999 an increase of 23.5 per cent over Rs 3.66 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Third quarter sales at Rs 206.40 crore are higher by 13.09 per cent than the figure of Rs 182.50 crore recorded in last year's third quarter. Gross profit for the period stood at Rs 13.42 crore, up 24 per cent as compared to Rs 10.82 crore in the third quarter of the last fiscal year.
For the nine months of the year, company net profit is Rs 11.82 crore against Rs 10.28 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, an increase of 14.9 per cent. Sales figures were up 10.2 per cent at Rs 561.22 crore as compared to sales figures of the period 1st April-31st Dec 1998. Gross profit for the period jumped 31 per cent at Rs 37.41 crore as against Rs 28.60 crore in the same period, last year.
